https://www.instagram.com/kitfest_ke/Her Madness is a spoken word theatre production centered around a single evolving character known as “Mad.” Through layered poetry, costume transformation, satire, and social commentary, Mad journeys from romantic devotion to spiritual confusion, political awakening, and societal confrontation. What appears as instability gradually reveals itself as accumulated awareness. Mad is not mentally unwell, she is reacting to hypocrisy, performative faith, distorted rights, cultural erasure, and inherited systems that demand silence. Each shift in character exposes another illusion, turning the stage into a confessional, a classroom, a courtroom, and a mirror. In alignment with Reimagining Theatre, the production uses madness as a theatrical device to question what society calls “normal.” By the end, the audience is left to ask: If speaking truth looks like madness, then what does silence look like?
